Community Action Lanarkshire with icecream architecture and Social Track will be delivering the Make Your Way project in new communities of South Lanarkshire.
Two steering groups are being recruited to represent Lesmahagow for one group and to represent Kirkmuirhill, Blackwood and Boghead for the other group. Members of the community participating in those groups would be key to promoting the project and helping find local walking and cycling routes experts.
An event will be held at each location to map the area and to do activities suitable for families. It will be followed by lead-cycle events.
In the five primary schools in the area, icecream architecture will organise a workshop to talk about active travel and sustainable transport with pupils. Social Track will deliver shredability activities, improving pupils' confidence in cycling, wheeling, scootering...
